Essays on the Social Responsibility of Iranian Universities and Environmental Crises
Authors:
Iranian society and nature have faced numerous crises in recent decades due to improper interventions and inappropriate policies, evident in issues such as drought, dust storms, floods, extinction of animal species, and deforestation. The main concern is understanding our responsibility toward these man-made crises and the duties of different sectors and institutions of society to improve the current situation. The experience of the spring 2019 floods affected large parts of the country and severely disrupted the lives of people in various cities and villages due to human mismanagement of Iran’s natural environment. This book attempts to discuss the perspectives of social science experts regarding the social responsibility of Iranian universities in addressing environmental crises, with emphasis on recent floods.
