The Legend of Alexander the Great Must Be Erased from Iranian History

About the legend of Alexander the Great: For several centuries, Alexander the Great has been used like a club against us Iranians to humiliate us. The grandeur of our land and the splendor of the Achaemenid kings have been mocked and questioned. Their lie is this: a man named Alexander the Great came from across the world, killed Darius III, conquered Iran, and set fire to Persepolis. Our enemies have promoted this lie so much that many unknowingly accepted it and tried to pass it down through generations. Over the past sixty years, patriotic men have risen to erase this falsehood from Iran’s history. Their effort was to prove that Alexander the Great is a great lie attached to our history to belittle a great nation. The book before you contains two parts: 1 – Unveiling the Legend of Alexander the Great 2 – Alexander the Achaemenid. This small book addresses points that expose the liars. The author worked tirelessly between 1994 and 2004 in the magazine “At the Threshold of Tomorrow” to cleanse this lie from Iranian history. Many accepted his view, while others rejected it for personal interests. This book is the first volume presented to true patriots. The Achaemenids and their kings ruled the ancient world. They founded civilization and culture. The West, unwilling to admit that the current world’s civilization owes much to Iranians, fabricated history and manipulated historical events to suppress Iranian greatness. They created the legend of Alexander the Great and, by writing dozens of books full of lies and tricks and producing numerous films and documentaries, made it accepted as historical fact by all, even Iranians. In the 1990s, the publication of the magazine “At the Threshold of Tomorrow” broke this silence, and a group of young patriots attacked this lie through the magazine. Now this latent fire flares up again to cast the ugly, odious, and false legend of Alexander the Great—whose dark shadow has long loomed over the Iranian people—into the dustbin of history, so Iranians will know and realize that Persepolis was not destroyed by a certain Alexander and that the Achaemenid dynasty was not overthrown by a foreign impostor. This book can guide those whose ancestors’ blood runs through their veins by providing clues to uncover the truth and topple this false Western idol. With firm resolve, we must strive to regain the lost greatness.
