Considering the commitment of the people of this ancient land from centuries ago to culture, art, and especially poetry, the prosody of Persian poetry has been explored by poets and researchers for centuries due to its many puzzles. Since the author of this work had preliminary familiarity with music theory before learning prosody, learning prosody led to discovering musical relationships. Therefore, the author deemed it necessary to examine the issue more precisely and, through studying more sources, to better understand the prosody of Persian poetry and find its finer details and more correlations with music. The first part of this book includes a set of conventions for representing poetic meters using musical notes. In the second part, the author’s proposed logical system for solving Persian prosody problems based on metrics in international music theory and mathematics is explained in detail. The third part addresses the dynamics of meters from the perspective of fuzzy set theory, aiming to find a method to compare meters in terms of lightness and heaviness. The fourth part examines novel methods for classifying meters.
