Empathies of a Psychoanalyst

The book “Empathies of a Psychoanalyst” is written by Hassan Makarami and published by Nashaneh. Hassan Makarami is an Iranian psychoanalyst, calligrapher, painter, and human rights advocate. He is also an advisor and researcher at the Chair of Strategic Services for the Modernization of Large Organizations at the University of Sorbonne. Makarami was born in Shiraz in 1950. He pursued his studies at Tehran Polytechnic, Shiraz University in Iran, and at Compin University, Central Paris Engineering School, Paris 7 Medical School, and the Center for Strategy and Diplomacy Studies in Paris, France. Dr. Hassan Makarami has been living in France since 1982. He has held over twenty-five exhibitions of his paintings and calligraphy in France, UNESCO, Russia, the World Exhibition of Modern Calligraphy, Cuba, Morocco, and the United States. Makarami has also published various articles in Iranian and French journals. He has so far published eight books in Persian, four books in French, two books bilingually in Persian and French, and one book translated from French to Persian. “I asked him how he interprets the phrase ‘Manage it.’ To manage means to give everything you have, shake the world, move walls, stop time, laugh, cry, shout, run, invent, innovate, but do not leave the classes without a teacher. I said these direct you toward civil society. Go to civil society, an inexhaustible source of power, knowledge, and human experience, and ask for help.”
