This book aims to explain the beautiful poems of Hafez Shirazi word by word, making it easier for the general public to understand the verses of this unparalleled literary legend of Persian literature. Hafez Shirazi, a prominent poet of the eighth century, composed many beautiful poems in various poetic forms, though he is mainly famous for his astonishing ghazals. With his exquisite ghazals, he introduced himself to the entire world, and his collection of poems has been translated into many modern languages. Master Abbas Attari Kermani begins this book with a detailed introduction about Hafez’s life and the social conditions of his era. The first part of the book, which forms the bulk of the work, presents Hafez’s ghazals arranged alphabetically. Following that, sections are dedicated to his masnavis, quatrains, qasidas, fragments, and other scattered poems.
