This book is composed of two separate chapters of transition, titled the beginning of transition after the end of Western history and the passage from modernity through postmodernity. In the first chapter, the author discusses the state of postmodernism and references Martin Heidegger’s theories to explain the main concepts of the book. The second chapter, passage from modernity through postmodernity, is divided into several sections where the author utilizes and explores the theories of philosophers and theorists such as Walter Benjamin, Theodor Adorno, Habermas, and Michel Foucault to describe the Western human being transitioning from modernity to postmodernity. Dr. Mohammad Madadpour considers the philosophy of modernity in the West to be caught in a crisis of thought and believes that the passage from modernity has occurred, with the fragility and lack of foundation of all Western philosophy observable clearly in this transition.
