Dynamics of Critique

In the treatise “The Dynamics of Critique,” from a philosophical-political perspective and influenced by the ideas of Kant and Foucault, the modern concept of critique is addressed. Kant referred to the Age of Enlightenment as the age of critique and wrote: “Our age is, in especial degree, the age of criticism, and to criticism everything must submit.” About two hundred years later, Foucault responded to the questions “What is Enlightenment?” and “What is critique?” this time in the context of 20th-century Europe. Likewise, in the present state of our society, we face the question of what “Enlightenment” and “critique” mean for us and how we can bring the culture of critique into fruition. The appendix of the book includes eight critiques on the views of Mohammad Ali Katozian, Hossein Bashiriyeh, Babak Ahmadi, Mashallah Ajudani, Hashem Aghajari, and Sadeq Javad Tabatabai.
