Theoretical Foundations of Iran’s Economic Challenges

Although Iran’s problems primarily manifest as economic, they have non-economic roots and cannot be resolved solely through economic formulas and prescriptions. Therefore, the economic reforms emphasized by some economists who ignore the non-economic roots of the issues have only led to extensive waste of resources, irreparable loss of opportunities, and increased poverty among the people. This collection of articles first explains the theoretical foundations of economic progress and welfare, and then by reviewing economic problems, demonstrates that resolving them is not possible without implementing deep reforms in the existing non-economic structures.
