Iran is so magnificent and extraordinary that it is impossible to write a book covering all of it. All the books written over the years have not fully depicted and narrated all events and characters. Without the slightest doubt, we do not have a complete book on the history of Iran. A book that comprehensively encompasses the entire history of Iran does not exist. The history compiled for us begins with the Medes and is constantly revised and changed because the acquisition of new information and documents continuously transforms this compiled history. Numerous ancient artifacts, valuable treasures found abundantly in every corner of Iran, each add a new chapter to Iran’s history. On the other hand, historical distortions, whether from ignorance or malevolence, cause problems in narrating the history of our country; but there is no choice. One cannot wait for a perfect and complete history to be someday presented and taught to the children of this country. For this reason, to prevent the forgetting of history, its events, and its characters, history must constantly be repeated. ‘The Story of Iranians’ is a description of courage, unparalleled patriotism, betrayals, and vices amid darkness and light. The sun of this land has many times gone out but always reignited faintly, burning and glowing again. Our history is not merely instructive; it is enlightening. It serves as a warning for the sleepy children of this land. No country’s history is like Iran’s. This book titled ‘The Story of Iranians’ is presented solely to remind and attract impatient Iranians engaged in today’s global conditions where technology consumes most of their time. In the official world of books, it is common to condense lengthy works to motivate readers to study the original texts or at least gain relative knowledge from the summarized content. This brief work has the same goal. Iran is eternal, and the history of our ancestors is a sign of this eternity. Look upon this book.
