Allameh Majlesi, during the important Safavid era, took on the role of a great Shia theologian and used rational and transmitted methods to infer, explain, prove, and defend Shia doctrinal teachings. In the present research, his theological methods have been examined. In Allameh’s theology, the application of hadiths is not like that of the Akhbari school; rather, his theological discourse recalls the style of Sheikh Mufid. Moreover, one feature of Allameh’s theological approach is his attachment to doctrinal narrations, which during his time faced neglect in philosophical discourse.
