The End of Imperialism: Reality or Illusion?

Imperialism serves more the needs of the ruling class than the nation. Imperialism has nothing to do with democracy. For this reason, it is often considered an English phenomenon. The present book contains a collection of essays that, by presenting some new perspectives, contribute slightly to deepening critical thinking on the theories and debates related to imperialism. In the first part, the author analyzes the state of imperialism today and discusses some controversial debates, including Hart’s theoretical ideas. The second part introduces and explains a number of notable neoconservative institutions and individuals. Chapter titles include: The New Age of Imperialism, Supervision of Global Capital, Empire and the Masses. This book is the third volume in the Social Studies series.
