Silent Eloquence

This collection includes the songs, compositions, and performances of the late Iraj Bastami, one of the prominent contemporary singers who passed away in the Bam earthquake. Additionally, the book features his biography along with critiques and introductions to his works, interviews, and photographs of him. The opening section of the book presents tables listing detailed specifications of Bastami’s songs, compositions, and performances alphabetically. Following this, the texts of the songs, compositions, and performances are included in two sections, along with lists and opening lines of his recordings presented as tables. The next chapter is dedicated to articles and notes published in the country’s press about the late Bastami. Interviews and conversations with Bastami, explanations about his concerts, and commemorative events held in his memory are also covered. The book concludes with other topics and photographs of the late Bastami.
