Patriotic Women’s Society of Iran

In the year 1285 SH, the Iranian Constitutional Revolution replaced the absolute monarchy with a parliamentary constitutional monarchy. This transformation was not limited to the political arena; with the opening of the National Consultative Assembly, the publication of free newspapers, the organization of people into associations and later political parties, the drafting of the constitution and its amendment, and so on, it gradually gained cultural and social dimensions as well.
