Opinions and Beliefs of Seyyed Ahmad Fardid

The late professor Seyyed Ahmad Fardid was one of the prominent contemporary sages and philosophers. He is more accurately described as a sage rather than just a philosopher, as he considered wisdom to be broader than philosophy. He favored the independence and clear distinction of the various fields of illumination, mysticism, theology, and philosophy, and did not believe in their unification. In his thought, philosophy is less capable of saving humanity. What can save us is poetry, whose exemplar is wisdom. According to him, the Quran has distinct eras of its own and can be expanded and elaborated independently without relying on Greek eras. The author of the present book presents the views and beliefs of Professor Seyyed Ahmad Fardid on various subjects and individuals. These topics are arranged alphabetically in Persian. The book starts with topics like permissiveness and Superman and ends with Jews and Judaism.
