The issue is that when you wake up in the morning, you must be a writer and a political being in every aspect of your existence, in the precise meaning of the word! Being political at its simplest means that all people in the world have rights and ideals like those I mentioned. Everyone in the world should have equal opportunities. This must be reflected in all your actions. Any action contravening this principle actually harms your work. I cannot lie to you and then write a good story. I have said this elsewhere: You cannot hit your wife and then tell her you love her. I cannot accept such hypocrisy. Nor do I claim that I do not sin or that I do not repent. That is not the point. But I say that every person must become one with themselves, even more so for a writer, because they want to shape form. This matter is very important to me! You cannot do anything with dirty hands. And if your hands are dirty, you must admit it. Just say it!
