History of Rational Sciences in Islamic Civilization

Rational sciences in Islamic civilization refer to all types of wisdom and the principles and branches of each of the four sciences: divine, natural, mathematical, and ethical. Among these sciences, the discussion of divine science, the generalities of natural science, and ethical science should today be studied under the title of wisdom or philosophy, while the components of natural sciences and mathematical sciences should be examined separately. Since theology is also closely related to wisdom in many respects, a special chapter is dedicated to it. In this book, after a brief introduction to the familiarity of Muslims with rational sciences and important scientific centers before the prevalence of rational sciences among Muslims and the manner of transferring rational sciences, there is a concise discussion on the state of rational sciences in Islamic civilization followed by a study of the history of philosophy in Islamic civilization.
