The Persian language is at a critical stage of transition and qualitative transformation. In our country, as far as observed, there is no scientific policy for the conscious management of the language’s evolutionary path and accelerating this process in healthy and necessary channels. Individual or collective efforts by some Persian language enthusiasts do not yet mean that serious work has been or will be done in this regard. Currently, Persian is experiencing significant chaos in all aspects including phonetics, grammar, lexicon, and scientific terminology due to its spontaneous development. There must be a clear understanding of the language’s problems and their solutions, and based on this understanding and scientific solutions, the language should be consciously guided along a path that benefits its healthy and genuine evolution, rather than settling for its spontaneous evolution which is always accompanied by detours and takes a long time to bear fruit. The book ‘General Persian’ by Dr. Mohebati, with a fresh perspective on literature and literary texts and a beautiful introduction to the challenges and threats faced by the Persian language, is undoubtedly one of the books that will attract your attention in this field.
