General Persian Azar

There were times when the realm of the Persian language stretched from the western shores of Constantinople to the heart of Deccan: Ibn Battuta recited Saadi’s ghazals in China, Seyed Esmail Jorjani wrote the Khwarezmian treasury in Khwarezm, and Rumi recited the call of Shams, “Me and God are human,” in Khwarezm. Today, Konya is the heir to this language. This book, “General Persian Azar,” written by Amir Esmail Azar, comprises eight chapters and provides a concise overview of the millennium-old Persian language. The focus is primarily on contemporary poetry and prose. One chapter is dedicated to world poetry, and another to stories, which are the book’s main themes. The simplicity and ease of the texts enhance readers’ knowledge and inspire further study. The book’s chapters are prepared based on the resolutions of the Supreme Council for Academic Planning of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
