Folklore Literature of Semnan

The book before you is organized into four sections and fourteen chapters. It begins with a brief explanation of the ‘function of literature, the world of folklore, and the mythology of Semnan’ (the origin of the city of Semnan in the mythical period, the Semnani dialect, and its characteristics). The first section defines literature; the second section describes narrative literature; the third section covers oral literature; and the fourth section addresses games, entertainments, riddles, and traditional medicine in Semnan.
