Classifieds

The short story collection Classifieds is written by Sanaz Asadi and includes seven stories. The strength of all the stories lies in the author’s precise character development. They are characters stranded in contemporary times, each having experienced an event. People fleeing from their pasts, trying to forget it. The precise and effective endings of the stories challenge the reader to continue the story in their mind even after finishing it. The author’s ideology is completely clear in the stories. What puts the protagonists in their situations is not the result of their choices but what has been imposed on them.
