An Introduction to Critical Theory and Thought in Art History
Authors:
This book is based on the art history theories authored by Aliva, offering one of the best and most effective models for designing and examining theories in the history of art and methods of writing texts in this field. I translated this book into Persian many years ago, but for various reasons, its publication was delayed. One of the main reasons was the need for practical experience with the book in the Iranian educational context to ensure its effectiveness in practice and to examine potential problems and shortcomings. After many years of teaching this field, mainly in Iran and the United Kingdom, some deficiencies and the need for revising the book, especially for Iranian readers, became apparent. In the present book, although I have mostly adhered to many of the divisions in the original book, I have attempted to implement changes in some titles, divisions, and the structuring of certain chapters.
