Unknown Number

The prominent feature of all the stories in “Unknown Number” is the writer’s special attention to the language of the narrative. Furthermore, Arash Azarpanah’s stories in this collection showcase remarkable spatial diversity. The setting of the stories varies from Azadi Stadium or the western streets of Tehran on a snowy night to a border region in the south of the country on a hot midday. Nevertheless, the theme of all the stories is the same, and their genre is mystery-crime.
