Travelogue of Mirza Hasan Khan

This travelogue narrates the journey or escape of Mirza Hasan Khan, the grandson of Mirza Fathali Khan Sahib Divan, towards Azerbaijan over twenty-three days from the 10th of Rajab to the 3rd of Sha’ban, 1301 AH. This travelogue is unique not only because it is a single and exclusive manuscript but also due to the reason, subject, and events that occurred during this journey, making it strange and distinctive. Mirza Hasan Khan named this sudden journey “Al-Firariyah” (The Escape) and cited his frustration with his father as the cause. Apart from detailing the pursuits and escapes he experienced, he attempts to provide a general assessment of the economic and social conditions of that era.
