Tightrope Walking on the Body of Water

The book “Tightrope Walking on the Body of Water” is written by Mohammadmahdi Rasouli. This book is a collection of stories and scattered writings by Mohammadmahdi Rasouli, previously written with ethical themes based on a shared feeling among them all. He wrote many of the notes and stories in this book based on his scattered notes from travels to India and China, as well as the pilgrimage to Mecca, an important and influential journey in his life. Due to the common language among these notes, they could all form the underlying theme of the work. The book’s title was chosen considering the content of the notes, evoking a kind of fluid stream of consciousness. In a part of the book “Tightrope Walking on the Body of Water,” we read: “From where in the B of Bismillah did I fall in love with you? From the point of B, I revolve around all of you. I wish I had seen the eternal line at the point of origin. Through my abundance, you read love that I may become one and from that moment the airplane became the first mole on the sky’s lip. We, the children of Adam, looked at the sky, which had lost us within itself. From that moment, the star shone on the moon’s forehead out of respect for the songs of dhikr. The attendants, on the wings of longing, poured the dew of tears into the throats of our deceit, and we, unaware of everything, pursued the task of a midnight nap.”
