The Uproar of the Mountain Range

This book contains a Persian novel with a social theme. The author references the events of the 1970s in Iran while narrating the story. “Laila” is the wife of a colonel who, due to certain events, ends up in prison where she gives birth to her daughter “Bahar.” After her release, the colonel separates Bahar from Laila, and Bahar grows up believing her mother abandoned her. In her youth, through Mobin, she reunites with her mother and after her death, by reading her memories, uncovers the secrets of Laila’s life. This novel portrays the lack of mutual understanding in a family within a tense society.
