The book “The Remaining Wine” includes 74 essays on Hafez studies. This work is published by Nahid Publishing. It is the latest research by Bahaddin Khorramshahi in the field of Hafez studies. He is a prolific Hafez scholar who has written numerous books and articles about Hafez’s poetry and personality; after Quranic studies, this is his second major field of specialization and research. The present book contains 74 new essays by him. The collection includes topics that often have no prior books or even articles written about them, such as colloquial words and expressions in Hafez’s poetry, appropriate readings of Hafez’s poems, critics and opponents of Hafez, caretakers of Hafez, and introductions to Hafez scholars who have written at least one valuable book or five articles about Hafez. Additionally, several articles address difficult poems and expressions of Hafez, including “Reduce the story and again…” and “This child travels a hundred years in one night.” Bahaddin Khorramshahi is an author, translator, humorist, lexicographer, Hafez scholar, poet, and also one of the Quranic researchers and translators of the Quran into Persian. He has authored works in the field of Hafez studies and the interpretation of his poems, with research into Hafez’s poetry and life as his research specialty. Khorramshahi has written numerous books about Hafez, among which “Hafez Nameh” is the most famous book regarding the elucidation of Hafez’s words, names, key concepts, and difficult verses.
