Thirty-six years ago, in March 1953, right before Nowruz, the Azerbaijani people received an unforgettable gift from their poet. This was ‘Heydar Baba Salam’ by Master Shahriar. Though small in volume, this work was rich in content. For its publication, all cultural and printing resources of Tabriz at that time were utilized. Mirza Taher’s calligraphy wrote the text, Morteza Nakhjavani illustrated the pictures, Mirza Abdolvahab Shaari prepared the engravings, and it was printed at the press of Hossein Agha Zafiri. Hassan Taghavi arranged all the printing materials, while Mehdi Roshan-Zamir and Abolali Karang each wrote separate introductions. Shahriar himself summarized the creation process of the work and presented it to the Azerbaijani people.
