Termites Have Grown Strange

Despite historical silence from critics regarding the narrative capability of photography, recent years have seen fundamental changes in this trend. The defensive approach towards words and a more precise narration has faded, highlighting the positive aspects of the coexistence of literature and photography. In photo-texts, the language behind the photo, within the photo, and inside the author’s mind are integrated, resulting in a work with a distinct and independent nature. The photo-text holds a unified identity, making it impossible to separate its components of photo and word. This book includes ten selected narratives from ten sets of photos by domestic and foreign photographers and is an attempt to recreate a small piece of existence.
