Social Security Annotations

This book, while providing a historical overview of the modern concept of social security and its origins in the seventeenth century, also explores the historical roots of this concept in Iranian-Islamic civilization teachings, presenting evidence and indications of historical parallels. The author traces the evolution of the concept and its applications in European states supporting low-income workers, specifically highlighting King Henry IV of England’s 1604 initiative to allocate a portion of mining revenues to buy medicine and treat injured workers. The book further discusses the establishment of laws and regulations by Roosevelt and Bismarck aimed at improving workers’ welfare in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
