Social art is not an art with social or political themes; rather, it is an art with critical stances. What critical art presents is not an image of poverty and disease, but a display of human cruelty and indifference towards each other and shared issues. This book addresses topics such as poverty and war, which are less often the focus of art research. It also attempts to explain the social sensitivity of artists and emphasizes the social positions of art.
