Snow Wound

In the world of literature and economics, boundaries sometimes merge in amazing ways. Economists who have turned to novel writing are a prominent example of this synergy. These writers, dealing with complex economic models and social analyses, pour their knowledge into engaging and thought-provoking stories; stories that are not only entertaining but also reveal layers of social, ethical, and economic critique. The novel “Snow Wound” by Timur Rahmani, an economist, is one such example. This work narrates the story of a soldier from the desert region of Yazd who, after completing his military service in Kurdistan, reflects on his memories on the way back to his hometown; memories of hospitable people deeply connected to their rituals and the pristine, wild nature of the region.
