Sherlock Holmes in the Middle of Shahnameh

The book “Sherlock Holmes in the Middle of Shahnameh (Signed Edition)” written by Ebrahim Raha is published by Noon Publishing. Ebrahim Raha brings Sherlock Holmes to Tehran to chase after Zari Khanum’s rival. This collection is essentially a long humorous story with Sherlock Holmes as the main character. The events of the book take place in the 1970s in Tehran; in fact, Sherlock Holmes, who is involved with black magic in late 19th century London, suddenly finds himself near Ferdowsi Square in Tehran in the early 1970s. This shift in time and place, where Holmes suddenly travels 70-80 years forward and to another country with its unique climate and culture, and his and his assistant Dr. Watson’s encounter with the moral characteristics and social behaviors of Iranians, which seemingly haven’t changed over the decades, creates good humor.
