The tenant and landlord each have a lot to say when they are apart, but face to face, they say nothing. They do not speak until they are forced to fight. I wrote this book to open the doors of tenants’ homes to landlords, to invite them into the inner chambers of their hearts, and to be a voice for tenants who pay the essence of their labor to the landlord every month.
