Political Thought of Farabi

This book provides a rereading of the political ideas of Abu Nasr Farabi (260-339), along with an analysis of his political life and the historical events of his era. It also presents Farabi’s epistemological, ontological, and anthropological foundations. The book continues by explaining the components of his political philosophy system and his views on power, political order, state, and the ideal city. Additionally, topics such as the structures of political power, forms of government, the position of rulers, governmental institutions and political groups, political participation of the people in governance, guardianship of the jurist, characteristics of the Islamic ideal city, and similar subjects are discussed.
