Philosophy of Reason

Reason is the institution of knowledge and the axis of rationality and humanity, the source of all goodness and inner proof, just as the prophet and the successor are the outer proofs, who have been assigned due to the shortcomings of the degree of sufficiency to reason. The essence of reason belongs to the realm of the highest heavens and its confirmation is through heavenly lights of knowledge and cognition. Reason enlightened by the lights of the guiding book, the lamp of prophecy and the tradition of the mission and the conduct of guardianship, transcends deficiency and imperfection, and with the steps of faith and servitude, proceeds towards the Almighty God, soaring with the two wings of knowledge and practice into the realm of nearness and witnessing. The writings of “Philosophy of Reason” focus on reason and discuss the states, types, and essential afflictions of it, aimed at establishing the science of reason. The researches of Mirdamad and Sadra in the domain of hadith derivation have provided a suitable ground for the establishment of this science.
