A novel and unprecedented form or structure can be observed in the timeless and noble tradition of Persian poetry, which could be called “quatrains” or “interconnected quatrains.” In this form or structure, several quatrains or rubaiyat, as well as couplets or poems composed of two lines, connected in a different rhythm and meter, come together to create a collection or an ensemble. Each of them, individually and separate from other quatrains or couplets, constitutes an independent and complete poem, which begins and concludes within itself, so that it can be regarded as a standalone poem, apart from the collection, independent and requiring no other accompanying poem.
