Naked Life in Digital Geography

This book is the result of a research project that seeks to examine how possible situations occur in historical contexts. How does the world move? How does a historical situation transition to new situations? And how does fluidity manifest in the current historical situation? Answering these questions requires entering a conceptual paradigm that provides appropriate ontology and epistemology to understand and recognize potential situations and their actualization. Process philosophy, which places the world in a flow of becoming, offers the necessary foundations for understanding the ontology of phenomena with their potential dimensions. The driving force enabling a phenomenon to be part of the flow of motion is the mechanism of influence and being influenced. Thus, a phenomenon is a set of relations connected to relations in other phenomena. The world is not something beyond itself but everything flowing within it, and the philosophy of “being within the flow” helps us examine the conditions under which the forces of the world entangle with each other.
