Mahla

Mahla Sepahi is raised in a traditional family in Yazd and has been living in the ancestral garden house since the age of twelve due to the death of her parents. Her language is like those who fiercely rebel, which ultimately ruins her future under her strict and fanatical grandfather. The arrival of a young man to teach English to the rebellious granddaughter sets off a series of events that leave the teacher with only one option—to marry Mahla. This forced union and moving to Tehran marks the beginning of new troubles. At the same time, it opens the young girl’s eyes to hidden truths that were previously concealed. A flood of hidden events and her sudden pregnancy bring such drastic changes to her life that she must defend herself against an accusation—a slander coming from a domestic enemy.
