Love Killing

The novel Love Killing narrates the life of a writer inspired by Sadegh Hedayat’s The Blind Owl. The author, who is also the narrator, one day falls while crossing the street and breaks his hand. His wife, Sousank, takes him to the hospital for treatment, but the pain does not subside. The author’s treatment and his wife’s reaction to the situation form the subsequent parts of the story, while symbolic and allegorical imagery plays a significant role in shaping the scenes.
