Letters on the Back of the Gale is a long story with four narrators, and writing it took nearly two years. This novel is based on the notes of four separate characters. Two of these characters are anonymous, with no specific time or place coordinates, while the other two are contemporary, and their lives intertwine with the writings of the two anonymous characters. The narrative begins when one of the contemporary characters accidentally finds manuscripts that impact their life. These texts have a poetic and somewhat archaic language; another character has also added marginal notes to these writings, completing the story. Ali Ettehad’s works span multiple artistic fields. He has introduced his career phase under the general title “The Collection of Mysteries.” Each video, play, book, audio work, or any collection of Ettehad’s digital paintings forms a part of this collection. From 2006 to 2015, the first season of this collection was completed with twenty-four parts, and now the second season continues.
