Lady of the Mist

Mohammadreza Arianfar, writer and playwright, referring to the different atmosphere of the novel “Lady of the Mist,” stated: “Unlike my first novel, which was centered on war, in my second novel I focused on family drama as the central theme.” According to the Iran Book News Agency (IBNA), Arianfar, regarding the subject of the novel “Lady of the Mist,” said: “The story takes place in a five-member family and deals with generational conflicts and the relationships between the parents and the young members of the family.” He continued: “The atmosphere of this novel, unlike my first novel which was written in the war domain, is social and family-oriented, relating to the concerns of the younger generation.” The author of “Dancing with the Storm” further shared news about writing another novel, saying: “Currently, despite being engaged as a writer and researcher in a documentary film, I am also writing a novel titled ‘Agate and Ashes.'” Additionally, Arianfar, referring to the publication stages of two novellas he has written about war, stated: “I have submitted a book comprising two novellas titled ‘Lilo’ and ‘Stone at the Fish Sleep Time’ to the publisher. In this book, I have endeavored to portray the theme of war with a different prose style and a fresh perspective.” Regarding the subject of this book, he added: “The story takes place in the city of Ahvaz and narrates the life of a soldier from morning until evening. This book spans 400 pages and will soon be published by Amut Publications.” To date, several collections of poetry, plays, and one novel by Arianfar have been published.
