In a distant land near the gulf, a city lies stretched along the shore, isolated from the world, deprived of winter, yet so alive that from dusk till dawn it hosts wanderers. This feverish port has a mysterious Khordad, a Khordad that always exists and will always be, creeping from spring to summer and from summer to autumn. After many years, a man appears in the port, whose identity and purpose are unknown, but he is searching for Khordad. This man has kicked through all the mature streets of the city, peeked into every alleyway, and unsettled all the shadow-dwellers scattered across the port. It is fear of this insidious man that makes the waves hiss warnings. Stop him before it is too late, before he casts Khordad into the middle of the gulf and freezes it. Yet, except for this man lying in ambush for Khordad, no one understands the language of the waves. The gulf will freeze and Khordad will sleep within this ice.
