Iran Land

The book “Iran Land” is a 664-page work published by Farhang Moaser Publishing. Askar Bahrami has written the book focusing on the “Ancient Times.” The work consists of four sections and an appendix that introduce and review sources related to the history of ancient Iran. Askar Bahrami presents general concepts, introductions, and discussions about the geology of the Iranian plateau, climate, water resources, and flora and fauna of Iran in the first part of the book. The second half of “Iran Land” in “Ancient Times” is dedicated to the political history of ancient Iran, including kingdoms and royal dynasties, as well as topics related to governance during various historical periods of ancient Iran. A timeline of the most important events in ancient Iranian history can be found at the end of this section. The social and economic history of ancient Iran is examined in the third section of this valuable work. Topics covered in this part include cave dwelling, early villages, the first signs of social classes, formation of social structures, communication networks, waterways and maritime routes, Silk Road, bridge construction, vehicles, trade, and agriculture. Animal husbandry, irrigation of farms, financial structures, marriage and children, naming, education and training, law, death and birth rituals, food, grooming and clothing, and beverages in ancient Iran also belong to this section. The fourth section of the book “Iran Land” in “Ancient Times,” based on Askar Bahrami’s research, is dedicated to the cultural history of ancient Iran and includes the country’s mythological history, religions and sects, language and literature, science, health and medicine, art, calendars and chronologies, and Iranian festivals. The book “Iran Land” also contains images that provide the reader with a better perspective on the topics discussed.
