Hotel Iran and Hasan and the Demon of the Narrow Path Behind the Mountain

Afshin Hashemi said about his book: Appreciation sets off for love. In this work, we invert the drama. That is, we have a story where a person begins a journey to defeat a demon. He defeats the demon and frees the fairy. This is the general form and we can simply perform this. However, in our play, the demon is no longer a demon. He further noted: Prior to this, in Bahram Beyzaie’s play “Sunset in a Strange Land,” a similar approach was taken. That is why the brochure of the play references both plays, and I dedicated the text to the puppets of Beyzaie’s play and the character of the leopard in the play “Moon and Leopard.” Hashemi spoke about the language of the play and the poetic quality used in the dialogues: “The important point in this play is its rhythm or, in other words, the meter of the work. For me, it is crucial that the actor can fit the theatrical speech into the intended rhythm, and having rhymed verses and poems is a secondary priority. The main issue for me was rhythm, dramatic information, and translating them into dialogue.”
