Hidden Plunder

High inflation rates in Iran’s economy have generally made poorer population deciles poorer and richer population deciles richer. This assessment is broadly correct but not precise. High inflation rates have effectively created redistributive flows that have caused a vast transfer of various economic resources from some hands to others. However, the redistributive flows resulting from high inflation rates in Iran’s economy are far more complex than the simple expression of the poor becoming poorer and the rich becoming richer. We are very lacking in understanding the various mechanisms of expropriation through the deprivation of ownership from the masses in today’s Iran, and there is a long way ahead. This book is specifically an initial step in the long and winding path we have yet to traverse.
