Heidegger’s Interpretation of Hegel’s Philosophy

Heidegger’s interpretations of the thoughts of Western thinkers, especially Hegel, are not the usual explanations and clarifications but something entirely unconventional and completely different. Through his dialogue with Western philosophers and critical interpretation of their ideas, Heidegger actually establishes and advances his own thinking step by step. According to one of Heidegger’s commentators, no major philosophical thinker in the twentieth century possessed as extensive and deep knowledge of the Western philosophical tradition as Heidegger. For a deep understanding of modernity and the relationship of us Iranians with it in the current situation, the works of philosophers who have reflected on modernity are important sources. Therefore, it is hoped that Heidegger’s interpretation of Hegel’s philosophy represents a step towards a profound examination of modern thought and, more generally, the West.
