From the Grove to the Street consists of ghazals, couplets, quatrains, a masnavi, and several modern poems by Alireza Ghazveh, each reflecting his poetic style and demonstrating his ability to poetically express social, political, and other themes. In this work, Ghazveh laments the times and is disenchanted with people. He wrote the ghazals in this collection at the end of the war years in memory of the martyrs. The couplets and quatrains were penned between 1983 and 1986 and encompass themes such as sorrow, longing, and hope. In the modern poems, which form the final section of this collection, Ghazveh uses a satirical tone to critique societal issues.
