From Iranian Society to Turkish Homeland is the intellectual and political biography of one of the prominent figures of the Karabakh Khanate, Ahmad Agayev. Initially, as a member of the Iranian world—albeit a marginal one separated from the main body and under Russian occupation—he sought his identity and purpose. Ultimately, as described and analyzed in this review, he decided to find his place in another realm, namely within the Turkish world.
