The aim of feminist thought is to explain gender-centric structures and beliefs that classify and define social roles and relationships. Although these structures often serve to oppress and marginalize women in society, their impact is felt by all members of society regardless of gender. Therefore, combating these structures and beliefs is important for both men and women. It is noteworthy that feminism is not an anti-male movement; if it were, it would involve the same level of gender bias found in patriarchy. For this reason, feminists emphasize defining feminism as a way to eliminate discriminatory views towards women.
