Famous Contemporary Iranian Storytellers

Jamal (Hossein) Mirsadeghi was born in 1933 in Tehran. He graduated from the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at the University of Tehran with a degree in Persian literature. Jamal Mirsadeghi has held various occupations: laborer, teacher, librarian at the Teacher Training College, examination specialist in the Administrative and Recruitment Affairs Organization, head of ancient documents at the National Library and Archives of Iran, and university lecturer. During his long writing career, he has written many short and long stories and more than ten novels, some of which have been translated into German, English, Italian, Armenian, Russian, Romanian, Hebrew, Arabic, Hungarian, Hindi, Urdu, and Chinese.
